Emotional Roller Coaster

Each day presents challenges that can rob us of our joy. The alarm doesn’t go off so you jump out of bed in a rush to get the kids dressed for school, no time to stop at Starbucks, and rush-hour traffic has you stressed out before stepping a foot through the door at the office, an uncaring boss in the office grumbling about everyone all day long and etc.

Life’s up and down like an emotional roller coaster ride. Yet, it is possible to maintain our stability but we must choose to do so. Joy and happiness are virtues that we wish to hold on to which nobody can take away.

You can choose to live a happy life by conditioning yourself to view your circumstances from a positive perspective, even if your current situation isn’t ideal. Rather than complaining about your job, think about the appreciation you would have for that job, if you were suddenly laid off.

Give yourself permission to enjoy everyday life. You are responsible for your own happiness.

What We Attract Depends on What We See!

There’s an old proverb that says, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” or as comedian Flip Wilson used to say, “What you see is what you get.” Another way to say this is “what we put our attention on, grows.”

A couple of examples:
If you consistently worry that something bad will happen in your life, then you are putting your attention on that possible stream of events. You are visualizing the worst case scenario, so to speak. The result: you get the bad results you envisioned.

Problems are tests

No person has no problems. That’s a cliche that we always hear on whatever purposes. The reason why people have problems is that everything’s supposed to be hard, that whatever a person wants should be worked hard to achieve.

Problems are tests to the humans who have forgotten to thank the deities for the blessings they receive, and a test of their strength and will to succeed the rough life. There are times that in a given day, where we encounter problems and from the given time we must cure the problem, in order for us to feel good.

The cure may be worse than the curse, but if it will make everything better, so be it. One solution to resolve your problem is to face it first because if you don’t, it’ll get worse and more impossible and harder to solve. That’s why if you think of a good solution and enact on it as young as the problem is, then problem solved. So it’s better to finish and face the problem immediately, then be brave and don’t run with the consequences.

Every action has an opposite reaction. It won’t be bad, but at least you did your best. I’m sure doing the matters will helps a lot for you to feel good in your daily life.

Changing with Time

I was walking down quaint back alley with my daughter and what she said caused me to share with her something that would serve her now, and in the future.

She said, “At my age I should know where I want to go in the future!” That’s pretty sensible for her age I thought.

Her predicament is one that we all struggle with at any given age. We spend time deciding where our life direction and in the end, we do feel regretful over the choices made.

Here are a few steps:

1) write down what you want in 10 words or less
2) look at it and think on it every day for 10 days
3) write beside it 5 steps that lead you to your goal
4) breakdown each step until it is something you can complete in a 15 min. period by doing it everyday
5) place the steps on a calendar and mark off each day you do it
6) look back after 10 days on how far you have come
7) do it over again until you reach your goal

You will begin to notice that obstacles to your goal will begin to change. Don’t be too hard or soft on yourself. Find your rhythm. You will be 10 days older and 10 steps along your road to maturity!

Cosmic Butterfly

Our Universe is an awesome place. Or shall I call it a “place”? Since young, I have always been amazed by the myriad of stars when I look up the dark Southern Hemisphere sky, and I wondered what was beyond those stars and where are they and how far away. My dad told me the stars I saw could be millions of years old.

Here is a magnificent picture of a Cosmic Butterfly captured by Hubble lens.

Just love LIFE…

Today, I opened the papers. One of the main stories is the release of the man who is the culprit behind the Lockerbie incident that killed over 200 Pan Am passengers. The Scottish authority said he was released on compassionate ground as he suffers from terminal illness and has just about three months to live. He was worshiped like a hero when he returned to Libya. Of course, families of the deceased condemned the release as “unethical”, or should be released only in a “box”. Even US President opposed the move.

So, what’s your view on this?

This world is getting more and more convoluted and twisted. The line between rights and wrongs are getting thinner. My heart is filled with wonder, sometimes madness and excitement about the world around me. I find, the older I get, the less I judge people, and the more I love them…that’s why, based on this call, I think it is right to release the guy, but getting a hero’s welcome? I don’t agree to that. That’s why it is hard to get a right call.

Often I am criticized for being too generous, too easy, too understanding… for helping people I don’t really know…F.

I just don’t care. I cannot stand to watch people struggle… I cannot be still or silent in their midst. If I am able to help, I do and I will. I love to see people happy, thrilled and excited. If I have the means to make that possible… why not? I find I do it more for me than them.

Just love LIFE…

Things are clearer inside

I wanted to quiet all the chatter in my mind (not only the negative voices), so I learned meditation. For some months, I practiced daily yoga meditation of the kind that leads you to a restful place inside yourself – I found a sense of refreshment whenever I practiced it. But in day to day life, the inner junk still cropped up, and the emotional walls I unconsciously used to defend myself were always there.

Not too long ago I broke my arm when I fell from the ladder and while mending I decided to take a course and in Reiki. It’s a spiritual path and a method for developing one’s healing abilities. Consciously, I did this for my arm, but it resulted in several other benefits: The Reiki itself immediately and unexpectedly cleared away a huge amount of those emotional traces that had remained inside me since my childhood. It got rid of the old muddy background of sadness, frustration, and fear that I had never been able to completely remove.

So then, as of the time of my reiki attunement, the pain/fear just dissolved. My overall mood then improved and my sense of intimacy with nature (birds, dogs, horses – you name it) markedly increased. And also, at least twice as many people as before acted like they really liked me. Even the flowers in the garden have looked radiantly gorgeous!

I do everything with more confidence. Everything feels clearer inside. Thanks Marie too.

No Trying

Anthony Robbins once said, “If you can’t, you must. If you must, you can.”

When it comes to taking control of life, successful people do not try. They make taking control a must. Think of a time when something in your life became a must. You just had to do it. There were no ifs, buts, or maybes.

When you absolutely have to do something, you just do it. Try never comes into the equation

“I’m trying, Kevin, but I just can’t get my business off the ground.” or “Kevin, I am trying to compete in the Olympics, but I can’t seem to qualify.” Every time I hear the word “try,” the term “definite maybe” comes to my mind. When you say the word “try,” you are already implying you will not do it.

I want you try and say your name to yourself. GO ON SAY IT.

Did you do it? Did you say your name?

You either said your name, or you didn’t. There were no ifs, buts, or maybes.

Humor me for a second. Ever tried to go to the bathroom when nature calls? I’m talking about when it really calls. Or did you somehow make it happen? You get there one way or another because it is a must for you. It just happens. You do your business.

Think of women in general for a second. All of us have or have had mums at some point and time. Did they try to bring us into this world? No, they just did it.

If someone you care about is in danger, do you try to help them, or do you just get on and do it?

Either you do or you don’t. It’s that simple. In the words of Nike, “Just Do It.”

What I am getting at is that the word “try” shouldn’t even exist. In fact, if I had it my way, I would make the use of the word “try” illegal. Ban it from your vocabulary. Make everything that is important in your life a must.

Lucid Dreams..

July 5, 2009

I have heard of lucid dreams somewhere but what exactly mean if your dreams are lucid?

Marie Callas says lucid dreaming happens when a person in a state of sleep becomes so sharply aware that they are in a dream. So wild and vivid things may happen while in such a state, giving a solid reason to wish to start lucid dreaming.

To have more lucid dreams, a person needs to know the dream scape well. That can be done using a recording dream notebook by your bedside to hold all of your sleeping experiences.

To start lucid dreaming, find out of the ordinary things to focus on to become aware. Looking at a watch twice and having vastly different times are a good indication.

Through realisation of a dream, lucid dreaming is much more viable. Other methods for realizing you’re in a dream to induce lucid dreaming are seeing if the clothes you wear are extremely odd – or missing entirely!

Wild, exuberant things could happen while lucid dreaming. Through lucid dreaming, a variety of impossibilities become simplicities due to the mind. The ability to do the impossible begins with lucid dreaming.

Superfood

I talk about mushrooms in my garden the other day and how i want to extol its virtues. It is my favourite good.

I have done a reserach that mushroom is a superfood.

-Mushrooms are one of the highest antioxidant foods in the world.
-Mushrooms are a good source of the essential minerals, selenium and copper.
-Mushrooms are an excellent source of fibre.

Mushrooms can help to prevent disease, are a natural source of Vitamin D and provide one of the most powerful supplies of antioxidants.

Mushrooms also provide B group vitamins such as Riboflavin, Niacin and Biotin.

Mushrooms are very low in salt, but they have many other minerals that are essential to humans, such as Selenium, Phosphorus and Potassium.

Convinced? Oh yea, please take more. There are really a lot of healthy food around. Please eat consciously with the aim to maintain your general well-being.
