I’m sad to read from papers that there are many people killed in the roads during this Easter weekend here in Vic. And this is only the figure for this state. I suppose there are also some fatality figures in other states.
Reflecting on this sad news, I just can’t help and wonder why people are just rushing and don’t care about their precious God-given life anymore? With the more powerful vehicles, there’s even more tendency for people to misjudge and your life can be endangered in a spilt second. I hope there is more public awareness in safe driving and this is the responsibility of every driver!
We went as a family to St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral and by the time we reached there, it was already rather packed! Just managed to find a car parking slot further down the church and luckily we were there earlier. This year’s turn out was really a bumper affair as I estimated nearly about two thousand people squeezed and packed into the cathedral.
I sense that more people are getting to know religion and spirituality because modern life has drained a lot of our spiritual energy and turned us into working zombies who are less empathetic with the people around us. People are also searching for a deeper sense of religion in their lives and are looking for that spiritual substances.
Easter weekend is near the corner again and usually this means family affair for me as we’ll attend as a family at the city church for solemn mass and papal blessing. Many of us here also take this time to have a nice break at the nearby coastal resorts or drive away to the suburbs for some relaxations and to enjoy the joy of life as admittedly, the life here is getting more stressed up as compared to years ago. But for me, I will need to put some finishing touches to my safety report as I’ll need to hand it over to the clients at our meeting on Tuesday. That’s the most important thing on my mind now before I can really enjoy.
